Mount
Agung is the highest and holiest mountain in Bali. The Balinese believe that
Mount Agung is a sacred mountain which always maintain and give life. They
believe this is where the abode of the gods. Balinese society also believe if
at Mount Agung also contained the palace of the Gods. The mountain is located
in Karangasem regency of Bali province. Based on the results of measurements,
the height of Mount Agung reaches 3,142 meters above sea level. With a height which
is quite large and very challenging terrain the trekking program of Mount Agung
can be done about 3 to 4 hours from the starting point of Pasar Agung Temple
and 5 to 7 hours from the starting point of Besakih.
As the
highest mountain in Bali, this trekking course will present the incredible
scenery. When you are at the top you will be able to see the whole island of
Bali. This is the highest peak you can achieve in Bali. Ascent to Mount Agung
is not just to get a spectacular view, more than that you will get a real
adventure. Rough terrain and long climbing time is the opponent you have to conquer.

tower”.
Fatigue will
naturally you got if you do this trekking. But you do not need to worry,
because when you catch the summit of this “holy spire”, you will be refreshed
by the cool air, the sights off the island of Bali, the morning sun shine and
even in the north you will be pampered with a view of the Caldera is decorated
with blue of Lake Batur. It was an amazing sight. In addition you will also see
Mount Rinjani in the distance where the sun showed himself on the island of
Lombok.
